The Sims 3 University life VERSUS The Sims 3 Pets

"Boys are the only one who love gaming". Well cross out that statement because it isn't true at all! We girls also liked to play games.  Besides playing girl games,I also play shooting games on the Xbox, like Call of Duty, Gears of War 2 or Fifa ( yes i'm that kind of girl haha). But today I'm going to write about a game that, I actually hate to admit, is played by more girls than boys: The Sims. I'm going to play two popular expanded versions of the Sims 3. Maybe you are questioning, why I'm doing a versus blogpost for these two games, you can play both games together so it isn't necessary right?!. Well that's right, but if you are planning to buy one of these expanded Sims 3 games and you don't have enough money to buy both of them, it's maybe helpful to look which expanded version is more fun to play.

First of all, I'm gonna take a look at the cover. If you look at the covers, it doesn't say much about the games. Maybe you get more attracted to the pet version because you like pets more but except that, there isn't much different.

 Now it's time to play the game *happy me*! 

                               

First, we are going to take a look at the Sims 3 Pets.

I'm creating a new Sims family. When you are creating that family, you also can create your pet. You can choose between a dog, a cat and a horse. 

You can choose a lot of colors for your pet and you have a lot of options to create your own pet. That's definitely a plus! 

So I made my family, let's play!

Well if you start with playing with your Sims family, it's fun to play with the pets because you are not used to play with pets. But if you played the game longer the pets aren't special anymore (but they still look cute haha). I need to say that if you play with your Sims family a longer time, it is also getting boring, so it is not only the pets expanded version.

You can make puppies, train your dog or horse or find the unicorn in the game to make it more fun. 

Pros:

•  You finally have pets
•  You can create your pet
• Except a dog and a cat, you also can buy a horse. The Sims 2 didn't have that option
• You can make puppies and kittens 
• New stuff
•   New clothes
•  Find the mysterious unicorn!

Cons:

•  In the city where you live, you get a ice cream truck. It sounds fun, but these truck is stopping in front of your house every sim hour and even in the middle of the night! Who is going to buy a ice cream in the middle of the night ??! So it's just ridiculous and annoying!
• You also have hamsters and parrots in the game. But it is less extensive. You buy a cage and the animal at one. You can't create your own hamster or parrot, you only can choose the color and the name. The only physical things you can do with them are: - cuddling with the pet, clean the cage, the parrots can fly through the house and feed these animals. It's sad that you can't do more with these animals.
• You have a dog and a cat park. And it is fun because you see other people with a dog or a cat but t you can't do anything at the park. Your dog/cat can eat there and play with a toy and that's it. They can do those things at home so it isn't special and it's actually boring.

That's actually the pet version game, now i'm gonna take a look at the Sims 3 University life

You need to make a young adult sim, otherwise you can't go to the university. When I go to the university, first I pick a house where I can stay. You can build your own house ( if you have a lot of money haha) or you can stay in a student house.

 When I picked a house, somebody is visiting me. I need to fill in a test. If you make the test right, I get points. These points are necessary, because you need points to get your certificate. And if you are getting those points from that test, you can graduate earlier.

You need you your smartphone or your laptop to chose study. And then my college life begins!

Pros

•  New clothes ( I really like a lot of them!)
•  New stuff
•  Finally, the sims are having a smartphone. You can study with the phone
•  Nice hangouts, like a bowling club, coffee shops ( the real coffee one and not the drug one) or a comic book store

Cons

•  There are a few new features. I expected more new ones.
• Less spare time , because the students are always busy studying.
•  The new sim world is a bit on the bare side. You have people who like this because you can build more houses but you also have people who don't like it.

So you red the pro's and con's but it's very difficult to choose! If I have to choose, I choose the Sims 3 Pets. I think people will  enjoy the pets game a longer time than playing the university game. And I really like to have pets. If your sims life is boring the pets will make it busy and happier. So that's why I choose pets.
